Announcing the First-Ever South Bay Festival of the Arts

Free community event features local musicians, artists, and eateries, something for everyone to enjoy.

TORRANCE, CA – 24 May, 2017 – The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the first-ever South Bay Festival of the Arts, a free event for the community featuring musical entertainment, local artists, eateries, craft breweries, and tons of family fun.  The Festival will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, 90503. 

Entertainment on Four Stages – All Day

All four of the Center’s stages – the Armstrong Theatre, the Ken Miller Stage, the Torino Plaza Main Stage, and the Nakano Theatre – will feature live entertainment throughout the Festival. Contact Christian Wolf at (310) 378-8100 for interview requests.

The Torino Main Stage will feature bands and musical artists from all around the country, playing everything from alternative folk pop to rockabilly, soul music to bluesy vocals.

The Armstrong Theatre will feature local performers and musicians, including Liz King (2nd place winner from 2016’s South Bay’s Got Talent competition) and UnitOne Asano Taiko Japanese drums.

The Nakano Theatre will feature local musical ensembles, like the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band and the Music Teacher’s Association. 

The Ken Miller Stage will be geared towards family-friendly entertainment with storytelling, karaoke, and just plain silliness!

Food and Crafts from Local Eateries, Breweries, Wineries, & Artists

Some of the best local restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wineries will have food and beverages available for purchase during the festival.  The beautiful Japanese garden will be the site of the beer and wine garden.

Local artists and craftsmen will have handmade merchandise available for purchase.  There will also be drawings for prizes and pop-the-balloon prizes offered to festival-goers.  Within the classrooms of the Center, instructors will be teaching crafts and giving demonstrations to visitors of all ages.

VIP tickets are available for purchase and they include:

  • Reserved VIP parking
  • VIP seating at all concerts throughout the event
  • Access to air-conditioned VIP Lounge with complimentary food and beverages
  • Access to private VIP restrooms

VIP tickets are available for purchase for $150.

Sponsorships are still available for every level, and each sponsoring company or individual will get the VIP treatment for 10 guests.
